Incidents

September 1972: Grounded off Farsi Island in the Arabian Gulf on her maiden voyage after loading a part cargo at Mena al Ahmadi, Kuwait. She was lightened twice by Winamac into Waneta, before finally being refloated some eight days later. The vessel proceeded to Bahrain to transfer her remaining cargo to Waneta and undergo a bottom survey. Although she grounded while doing 18 knots, the damage was such that repairs were deferred until the next scheduled dry docking in September 1973.
